It's about 9-10" x 15". The bottom inside is 9" wide, the top is 10" wide. My little 14" dell notebooks fits. A huge 17" G4 sticks out about an inch past the top most fiberglass, but is covered by the hood. A 15.4 Inspiron was too wide. The Apple G4's are really small compared to other notebooks. AB.

I bought one of these packs for school/books.
I like how it looks, how it feels against the back (the lumbar feature), and it could definately be used for different purposes (other than books). I have a heavy load of books to carry at once and I find this pack keeps them from sagging to the bottom of the pack and getting torn, etc.
However I feel the straps are a little close together, where they start, behind the neck area. I like this pack for school, but I would not want to hike with it.
LoadUp sent it super fast! I've been using it for 2 weeks and I'm glad I bought it for school!

Excellent product. It is WAY LESS EXPENSIVE than anywhere else I looked. I have an HP 6100 laptop with a 15.4" widescreen and it just fits. There is still room for a good amount of other stuff too. If you are a commuter and you carry a laptop, this is an item to really consider. Also, because the pack holds the weight so much higher than a traditional pack, it is less strain on your lower back and your balance is better.
